We received the following letter (along with permission to post it) following Tim's message at Grace Church (Viroqua, WI) on June 26, 2005.
July 6, 2005
I would like to recommend to you the ministry called Midwest Apologetics, founded and led by Mr. Tim Chaffey. If you would like a guest speaker on the topic of apologetics, and especially “creation apologetics,” I would highly recommend scheduling Tim for your church or ministry event.
I have known Tim for almost a year, during which time he was teaching at a Christian school and pastoring a local church. Because our two churches desired to work together, Tim and I spent long hours discussing doctrine, practical application and personal issues. In addition, Tim and I worked side by side in a discussion group with several atheists and non-Christian men and women. Tim consistently demonstrated an articulate defense of the Christian faith and a kind spirit. Above all, Tim is committed to the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture.
Our church was pleased to help initiate the speaking ministry of Midwest Apologetics on June 26, 2005. Tim spoke on the subject titled, “Did God Really Create in Six Literal Days?” Creation studies is one of Tim’s chief passions and his knowledge of the material was outstanding. Personally, he has helped me to gain a better grasp of the key Biblical teachings and practical application of a literal six day creation. Furthermore, Tim has an excellent grasp of the current literature and is able to recommend a wide range of resources for further study, applicable to individuals or small groups.
Please consider Tim and the ministry of Midwest Apologetics for your ministry needs. Also, please feel free to contact me personally [at
Grace Church].
For Christ’s glory,
Pastor Rich Maurer
