Counting the Cost
Many modern evangelists soft-sell the Gospel by appealing to our earthly desires. We are told that by becoming a Christian everything will get better. Our lives will be full of peace, joy, and some even teach that God will make us rich and healthy. Is this what the Bible promises for the Christian? It's true that God will give us peace and joy, but not in the same manner that these modern evangelists preach. Also, the Bible makes it clear that the Christian life will not be easy since we will be at enmity with the world. This talk looks at the lives (and deaths) of some of the church's greatest leaders and ends with a clear presentation of the Gospel.
