Volume I, Issue 4

www.midwestapologetics.org

Welcome to the monthly Midwest Apologetics newsletter.  Each issue is designed to keep you informed on the latest news concerning the ministry.

New Opportunities

August was an exciting month for us at Midwest Apologetics.  The biggest news is that Josh married his fiancée on August 13 in the Marble Chapel at Emmaus Bible College.  We praise God for this godly young couple and their commitment to Him.  Josh also started attending Emmaus Bible College as a sophomore last week.  He also had the opportunity to meet with and learn from a popular apologist in Florida last month.

I began teaching science classes at Tri-State Christian School on August 22.  So far classes are going extremely well.  I teach General, Physical, and Earth Science courses, as well as Biology, Chemistry, and Biblical Creationism.  As expected, the website has taken a backseat during the start of the school year as I am trying to stay afloat amidst the many changes.

I had the wonderful privilege of standing up at Josh’s wedding.  A week later I was honored to perform the wedding ceremony of two more previous students.  It is exciting to see young Christians dedicating their lives to each other in the Lord.

The new location has opened several doors for future speaking engagements.  We will keep you posted on these as they are finalized.  While we would love to spend a great deal of time on the ministry we realize that we have higher priorities at this time.  Please pray that God will help us keep our priorities straight in the coming months and that He will give us the wisdom to honor Him in everything we say, do, and think.

Website Update

The month of August saw www.midwestapologetics.org gain a much greater web presence.  Visits to the site increased 150% compared to June and July.  We are now truly worldwide as we received visits from ten different countries representing four continents.  Many thanks to JP Holding from Tektonics.org for posting Tim’s paper concerning a balanced look at Contemporary Christian Music.  This certainly helped with publicity.

Tim’s talk given at Grace Evangelical Free Church on July 10 has been added to the website.  We have figured out an easy way to make these talks available via streaming audio.  Now you can listen to our messages as your computer downloads them rather than waiting for the whole file to download.

Upcoming Events

Christmas Day – Tim will be speaking at the Evangelical Free Church of Gratiot – Gratiot, WI at 10:30AM.

Latest Articles

With everything that has been going on in the past month, my writing opportunities have slowed down.  We also had our main hard drive crash so that added to the busy month.  A few articles have been added since the last newsletter.  Josh has informed me that he has several that are ready to go so be sure to check out the lead articles in the coming weeks to see what our resident philosopher-extraordinaire (wanna-be) has been up to. Miscellaneous Updates

-    I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for your prayers.  I had an opportunity to lead devotions at our school’s staff meeting this morning.  It is amazing to be in a place where the staff is thoroughly committed to God and His Word.  God has been faithful to put me in a place where I can serve Him wholeheartedly.  Psalm 37: 4 has become a reality in my life.  Look it up if you’re not sure what it says.

If you have any questions, comment, concerns, corrections, ideas, etc., please email us and let us know.  Also, please keep us in your prayers throughout this month.
